I'm totally going to avoid the scale

This past week was horrific in terms of what I put into my body. I can only imagine what the scale would say if I were to get it on right now.

Family arrived from out of town last Saturday, which was also my daughter's birthday party. Burgers & hot dogs on the grill, baked beans, noodle salad, pudding, & cake .... yeah, not such a good day in terms of eating healthy. And then it continued through the week - fried chicken, Italian beef, mostaccolli, pizza, cupcakes, coffee cake, croissants, and more junk than you can imagine.

So, the family left on Thursday and now I'm trying to get back into old habits of not eating so much. Problem is, food is just so damn good. And there's still alot of goodies floating around the house.

It'll be back to work on Monday, so hopefully I can at least get myself on the right track during the work week. Weekends are harder because of being out and about, or having different functions to attend (bbqs, game nights, etc).

Maybe I'll be brave and go get on the scale afterall......

We all have bad days or bad weeks in terms of eating. Your family was in town, consider it a planned pause in your way to get back to healthier eating and weight loss. Don't beat yourself up and just hop back on the healthy eating and weight loss trail. You can do it!

I have avoided it as well... but at the docs he had to weigh me... I haven't gained anything, but I am so stuck in a no losing anything pattern. *sigh* why does it have to be sooooooo hard!!
